Avgas price in South Africa
Avgas isn't price-regulated. Each airfield's fuel operator sets its own pump price, which is why the avgas price at Lanseria differs from the price at Wonderboom or your local strip. For your own storage, the price depends on the international price, the exchange rate, your volume and the delivery distance.

Avgas or Jet A‑1?
Avgas is for spark-ignition piston engines. Jet A‑1 is for turbine engines, and for some aero diesel piston engines certified to run on it. Putting the wrong fuel in an aircraft can cause engine failure, which is why the grades are colour-coded and the nozzles differ.
