This policy explains how registered company name (“Fuel-It”, “we”) collects and uses personal information through fuelit.co.za, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
What we collect
- Quote requests: fuel, volume, delivery location, frequency, date needed, storage on site, name, company, phone, email and your message.
- Account applications: company name, registration and VAT numbers, your name and contact details, main fuel and monthly volume.
- Price alerts: your email address or WhatsApp number.
- Contact messages: name, phone, email and your message.
- Website usage: only if you accept analytics cookies (see below).
Why we use it
To respond to your request, prepare quotes and orders, assess account applications, send price alerts you asked for, and meet our legal and tax obligations. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
Only those who help us deliver what you asked for: our delivery and logistics staff, credit-vetting or credit-insurance providers for account applications, and our IT and hosting providers, all bound to protect it. We share information with authorities only where the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
The site works without analytics cookies. If you accept them, we use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to see which pages help buyers. You can change your choice by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
How long we keep it
Quote and contact information for up to retention period, account and transaction records for as long as tax and company law require, and price-alert details until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use, and unsubscribe from alerts at any time. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
