The aviation quality chain
Aviation fuel is only as good as its paperwork. From the refinery or import terminal to your tank, each transfer is documented and tested: appearance, water, density and, where needed, a full laboratory check. If the chain breaks, the fuel can't be used in an aircraft.
Our job is to keep that chain unbroken. Documentation travels with every batch, and before the first delivery we agree with you which tests and records your operation needs.
Is jet fuel paraffin?
Both are kerosenes, but they are not interchangeable. Jet A‑1 is refined and tested to a far tighter specification, including a freezing point of −47 °C or lower for high-altitude flight, and it carries additives approved for aviation. Illuminating paraffin is made for lamps, stoves and heaters. Never use one in place of the other.
Jet fuel price
Jet A‑1 isn't price-regulated in South Africa. Its price follows the international price of jet kerosene, the rand–dollar exchange rate and the cost of getting it to your airfield. It can move sharply from month to month, so every Fuel-It quote states its validity. Ask us for a delivered price per litre for your volume and location.
Running a jet fuel tender?
Send us the tender or RFQ documents. We respond with the specification, the documentation we supply and a delivered price, and we'll tell you upfront if any requirement is outside what we can do.
